How long will it take for my resume to be posted to the job
boards?
Once you've filled out our form and paid, we'll post your resume to all the
sites by 10:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) the next business day. Some job boards
take 24 hours from the time your resume is posted to their site to make your
resume accessible to companies. Sometimes, factors outside our control,
including network failures, and site outages, can delay us from posting to
some sites. In these cases, we may substitute a site other than those on our
standard list, or may retry your posting over the next couple of days.
How
long will my resume stay online?
Your resume will stay online for an average of three to nine months,
depending on the specific job board. Each board is different. It's up to you
to deactivate your resume posting when you find a job or make corrections if
your information changes. Or Come back and we'll post it for you again.
How will I know it posted?
You'll receive e-mail confirmation from every site. We'll also send you a
confirmation log with all of your passwords and usernames. You can check any
of the sites at any time and remove or update your resume.
How will I know it's in the right format?
Our software posts the information you enter on our site, exactly as you
write it.
Will the site that it was posted to know that it came from You?
No. It won't look any different to them than if you had posted it yourself.
Do you get a
fee or make more money if I find a job?
No. Your investment to have us power post your resume on the leading job
boards is the only fee we charge. We’re not a recruiting company and won't
sell your resume to anyone. We're a service-based company dedicated to
giving serious job hunters a competitive edge in finding a job.
Who will see my information?
Anyone searching job board databases plus, recruiters who've signed up to
receive resumes from us. Job board databases such as Monster.com are pay
services that companies invest in to have the right to search for
candidates. Employers pay big dollars for access to job boards. They
wouldn't do that if they didn't see them as a good place to find new
employees. We offer a wide range of sites, that are searched by both large
and small companies as well as recruiting firms.
Will my current employer know that I posted my resume?
You current employer may use some of these boards. We offer the ability to
automatically make your name and/or phone number confidential, right when
you enter your resume.
Will companies contact you or me?
They will contact you. Only your contact information will be available to
employers. Because of the fact that it will appear as though you posted it
yourself, it will be exactly as if you had. Be sure to use an email address
that you want employers to contact you through as your posting email
address.
Will I get e-mails from companies trying to sell me things?
Probably. A number of companies use the job boards to send their
advertisements out. This practice is banned from most of the major job
boards, but companies continue to do it.
How many companies will have access to my resume?
Two million or so. But the number of companies using job boards varies from
month to month.
What if I use your service and still don't find a job?
With our power posting system, your resume will be accessible to millions of
companies and recruiters actively looking for people to fill jobs. If you
still don't find a job, you may want to review your resume to make sure it
markets your strengths appropriately and/or reevaluate if your skills are in
line with current market needs.
What if I get a job and want my resume removed?
Most of the sites have an easy disable feature so your resume can be removed
quickly. You can use the confirmation log you get from us or you can just
wait three months for your resume to expire and be removed automatically.
Can I pick my own passwords?
Yes, and we encourage you to do that. Some sites ask for passwords that are
6 characters and some give you up to 12. We allow you to enter a password
consisting of numbers and letters between 6 and 10 characters in length.
Your best bet is to choose a very random mix of letters and numbers and
write it down in case you forget it. If you do lose it, let us know and we
will send you a new list of your passwords.
What if I want to change my posted information?
You will have all of your passwords and access codes. So, all you have to do
is log into the sites and change whatever you want. You won't have to enter
all of your general information again so it should be a quick and easy
process.
How long will it take for me to fill out your forms?
About 20-30 minutes, depending on how well you type, and how much
information you have to enter. It's the same process that most major job
boards make you go through but here you only have to do it once, and we'll
take care of the rest of the sites for you.
Why do you ask for the same information in several of your fields?
Each job board is a little different. We need some information in different
forms to ensure that your resume will be formatted correctly on every site.
We've attempted to minimize the duplication as much as possible, to make it
as easy as possible for you to post your resume. This also allows us to get
all the information that is needed to complete every field on every job
board. Don't be fooled by other companies that say they can post your resume
to numerous job boards, some cut corners to offer more sites and some simply
email your resume to the sites. The results will be an active resume on some
of the job boards that will not be very searchable to employers.
